As a high school student, I (Dale) was an art major.  After high school, I went on to college and seminary and never did anything with my high school art major. Years later, in retirement, I suddenly got the urge to resurrect my high school passion for watercolor painting, but realized I was very rusty and unsure that I could do this.

I did not want to invest huge amounts in a hobby about which I had doubts.  I started searching for resources and found that I could get started in this pursuit with minimal investment and yet find affordable materials and quality materials to get started.

A good place to start, I discovered, was a book of lessons on how to do watercolor painting.  I learned that it is easier than I had thought and have found real pleasure in taking up this hobby.  I recommend the book listed here along with some other resources on this website.
