I am an amateur woodworker who learned the skill in high school. Ever since I have had a small woodworking shop wherever I have lived. Now in retirement at age 81, I still do woodworking. My first ever power tool was a table saw. I now have two table saws; my favorite is my Skill table saw. I have it set up, especially for dado cuts. The saw pictured here is a 10 ” blade, which I recommend. This saw is good for ripping and crosscutting, especially for cutting dados. If you are just getting started in woodworking, the table saw is the first power tool you should purchase.
